One of the aspects of the stay a home I've found tough is that I can't go to museums. It seems silly but when you work in them, that's where you go to see colleagues and love them it makes it hard when you can go in them! Lots of these amazing non-profits have been hit really hard with this shut down too.
Even though we're all supposed to be staying at home now that is no reason why you can't "visit" Chicago museums in other ways. I've pulled together a list of Chicago area museums who are doing the big three of online visit ... virtual tours, digital collections and online exhibits.
Though not all museums are doing these specific types of online content they're still sharing lots of fun and interesting things like story times, object of the week, talks by members of the staff and so much more through their websites and social media channels.
