15 Ways to Make a Day More Special

With a new year under way I know a lot of people are hoping to better themselves and their lives but it can be tough. You were telling yourself at the beginning of this week you're going to do much better and kick 2017's butt. It's now the end of the week and you feel yourself getting bogged back down by work and commitments already. Well I think everyone should take some time each day to do something that makes their day just a little extra special. Here are some of my tried and true suggestions to make each day just a touch more special.

Drink out of a champagne glass ... even if it's just orange juice in there.

Make a new recipe for dinner

Use that special perfume you've been saving for a special day

Eat dessert

Dress down that party dress for every day wear.

Talk to one of your favorite people even if it's just for 5-10 minutes

Take an extra minute to lay out a necklace and earrings every day.

Light a candle

Take a photo of something neat that happened, that you saw, something or someone you love or just anything that you find memorable each day.

Make a special time to play with your pet ... if you don't have a pet of your own see if you can borrow one from friends or family.

If you drink coffee get that fancier creamer or coffee, if you drink hot chocolate splurge and get the fancier stuff.

Write down one neat or memorable thing that happened in your planner each day. Don't forget to look back at them!

Have a puzzle out and take 5-10 minutes each day to work on it.

Watch your guilty pleasure TV show

Do a random act of kindness for someone you know

What do you do each day to make it a little special for yourself or someone else?
